Ronald William Labossiere

OSWEGO – Former Charlton, MA, resident, Ronald William Labossiere, 71, died peacefully on January 24, 2021, at Seneca Hill Manor in New York.

Born in Worcester, MA, on June 8, 1949, to William Labossiere and Cecile LeClair. He was a graduate of Charlton High School and worked as a machinist before running his own machine shop for several years.

He enjoyed playing softball for D&D Construction and loved gathering with friends. He moved to Fair Haven, New York, where he continued to work as a machinist at Pathfinder Industries in Fulton. Gardening, fishing and cooking were his passions and he spent much of his time in New York on Little Sodus Bay. Ron liked to tinker with making models, bird houses, painting and candle-making. He loved to have bonfires year-round and socialize with his neighbors.

He is survived by his sister, Susan Paquin, two daughters and their spouses – Cheryl and Daniel Lucas, Kristin and Jamie Pichette – and four grandchildren –Adam, Matthew, Jenna and Alysen – and long-time friend Colleen Keefe. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Aimee Labossiere, and two brothers, Richard and Dennis.

Services were held privately. Nelson Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
