Ruth Eleanor Mieden

OSWEGO – Ruth Eleanor Mieden, 86, of Oswego, passed away on February 17, 2023.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth (Mitchell) Pelton.
Ruth was an amazing wife and mother who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and always put their needs ahead of herself. She was known for always providing a warm plate of her famous chocolate chip cookies, helping with homework, showing her interest in hearing about her loved ones’ day, and providing a loving hug.

Ruth worked as a Bookkeeper at (GLF) Great Lakes Farms in Oswego.

Ruth is survived by her son Robert (Cindee) Mieden of Wolcott, her daughter Lorna (Steve) Hall of Oswego, two grandchildren Derek (Brittani Jock) Harrington and Stephanie (Christopher) Faul, great-grandchildren Sophia, Savannah, and Madelyn. She also leaves behind her siblings Connie Place, Carrie (Charles) Sharkey, Chip (Chris) Pelton, and Priscilla (James) Kelso.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Thomas Mieden, in 2019, and her brother David Pelton.

A spring burial will be held in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
