Saramae R. Haskins

OSWEGO – Saramae R. Haskins, 40, of Oswego, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2025.

Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of Karoleigh Haskins and the late Miguel “Tito” Perez.

Sara was a loving, caring person who enjoyed taking care of others.  She adored her children; they were the lights of her life.  She was an exceptional cook, an absolute “clean freak”, and a talented hair and makeup artist.  She also loved to dance and was blessed with a beautiful singing voice.

Sara is survived by her mother, Karoleigh Haskins of Arizona,  her children, Liana Haskins of Fulton, Lorenzo Cantu, Adrienne Santos, Kamryn Santos, Darrell Griffin Jr., Dy’Nastiy Griffin, and Airius Haskins, all of Oswego, and grandchildren Mahalo Ware-Santos, Moira A. Cantu, Asura M. Cantu, and Ashton Brown.  She also leaves behind her siblings, Christopher (Shirley) Haskins, Joshua Haskins, Tiana Hoffman, Andrew “Andy” Haskins, and Miguel Perez Jr.

Sara was preceded in death by her father, Miguel “Tito” Perez, and her sister Alexis “Lexii” Perez.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, October 3, 2025, from Noon to 1:30 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany Street.  Burial will follow in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
