OSWEGO, NY – Sharon V. Becksted, 81, of Oswego, passed away on July 6, 2023 surrounded by her loving children. She was born in New Port, NY on October 21, 1941 to the late George & Marie (Cuney) Schleicher.
Sharon enjoyed taking care of folks and was a well-known favorite at Mimi’s Diner in Fulton, where she spent 17 happy years serving the community. She was a loving mother and grandmother who passed on a tradition of care and kindness. Sharon could once in a while be found enjoying trips to a casino with family and friends.
Sharon is predeceased by her husband Harold; siblings, Wayne Schleicher, Crystal Hannock, Dixie Tucker, Linda Alfano, and Noelle Schleicher.
Surviving are her children, Dawn Bullard of Fulton, William (Coleen Whalen) Raymond of Colarado, Valerie Favata of Oswego, Jolene (Alan) Buske of Oswego and her son-in-law William Favata; three grandchildren, Roger Bullard, Reggie Raymond and Kelley Binder; two great-grandchildren; sister, Star Raymond; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
