OSWEGO – Sheila M. Weigelt, 88, a resident of Murray Street, Oswego, passed away surrounded by her loving family on September 18, 2024.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Sleet) Pullen.
Sheila was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She took pride in caring for her family and her home.
Sheila was very creative and enjoyed putting together beautiful floral arrangements and creating oil paintings as well as various arts and crafts. Sheila had an eye for design and a very artistic mind. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Sheila was social and enjoyed time with her family and friends. In her later years, she loved to gather with her close YMCA friends and meet at Port City Cafe multiple times a week. She loved the Adirondacks and especially enjoyed spending time in Lake Placid. Shelia was a devout Christian since 1979.
Sheila is survived by her loving children, two daughters Terry Weigelt of Venice, Fl. and Annlyn (Eric) Michaloski of Rochester, and three sons Michael (Donna) Weigelt of Oswego, Tim (Brandy) Weigelt of Venice, Fl., and Mark (Sarah) Weigelt of Oswego. She also leaves behind her brother Jerry (Elizabeth) Pullen of CA., her sister-in-law Theresa Miceli, nineteen grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis “Bomber” Weigelt in 2013, her brothers Donald, Ted, and Jack Pullen, and sisters Barbara Navagh and Diane Germain.
There will be an hour for gathering from 10-11 am, prior to an 11 am funeral service at Elim Grace Church, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
