Susan J. Thomas

OSWEGO – On April 18, 2026, Susan J. Thomas, 76, of Hannibal, NY, passed away in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Ogdensburg,  NY, to the late Harold and Jeanette (Crowder) Perry. She was married to Thomas E. Thomas for 45 years before his passing.

She was the youngest of 13 and is survived by all her brothers, Loren (Reemi), Robert (Ellen), Harold “Jr.” (Gerry), Donald (Shirley), and Melvin “Coke” (Beverly) Perry as well as her sisters, Eva Shaver (Irwin), Blanche “Tut” LaFave (Joe), Janet Fisher (Allen), Sally Braido (John), Hazel Lumbard (George), Donna Pearson (Jerry), and Iva Roush (Roy.)

She lived a full life with her husband. She shared 7 children, Thomas Jr. (predeceased), Timothy (Jolene), Richard (Meghan), Sandra (Michael), Christopher (Wendy), Amy (Eric), and Laura. She adored her grandchildren, Taylor Susan Clark, Allison Clark, Kaleigh Laird, Kiara Thomas, Brandon Thomas, Nathaniel Thomas, Cole Thomas, Maddison Audas, Garrett Audas, and Aden Thomas. She was also lucky enough to be able to cherish her great-grandchildren, Eden Thomas, Bella Thomas, Thomas Schultz, Cameron Mashewske, Harper Lee Schultz, Amelia Thompson, and Adalynn Adams.

During her time with us, she worked for 25 amazing years at SUNY Oswego, where she retired. She enjoyed the casino, long car rides, picnics, camping, playing cards, and playing with the babies.
