OSWEGO – Teresa I. Guile, 90, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to the late Thomas and Katherine (Murray) Biddlecom, she was a lifelong Oswegonian.
Teresa graduated from Oswego High School and earned her RN at Crouse Hospital School of Nursing. She worked as the Charge Nurse in Pediatrics at Oswego Hospital for over 30 years. Teresa was a devoted Catholic and long-time member of St. Paul’s and Christ the Good Shepherd Church. She was also devoted to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
Teresa enjoyed wintering in Florida with her husband. She was happiest spending time with family and the “grands”. Teresa will be deeply missed by her favorite companion, her cat Willie.
Teresa is survived by her daughters Roni Taylor of Oswego, Mimi (Jim) Deming of Oswego, and Lisa (Joe) Schultzkie of Oswego. She also leaves behind grandchildren Justin (Emily) Taylor, Nikki Taylor, Lauren (Nick) Miles, Lexi (Austin) Housley, Ashli (Sean) Jaquin, and Brandon and Nathan Schultzkie, and great-grandchildren Quinn, Wyatt, Jameson, Lainey, Makenna, and Camryn, and her beloved great-niece Amy Stephenson (Carter and Chloe).
In addition to her parents, Teresa was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, in 2016, her sister Anne Chatterson, son-in-law Michael Taylor, and niece Kathleen Stephenson.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 134 E. 5th Street. A Private Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the caring guidance of Nelson Funeral Home.
