Thomas Michael Scaccia

OSWEGO – Thomas Michael Scaccia, 63, of Oswego, passed away unexpectedly on November 13, 2025.

Born and raised in Oswego, he was the beloved son of the late Ronald and Jane Scaccia.

Tom graduated from Oswego High School and later became a union boilermaker before joining Williams Specialty Services, where he dedicated many years of service. At the time of his passing, Tom was a highly respected and deeply admired VP/Senior Project Manager at Composite Technology & Infrastructure, based in Queens, New York – a role in which he earned the trust and friendship of many.

Tom was a kind and devoted husband and father who lived simply but loved deeply. He found true joy in the company of his family and friends. A passionate outdoorsman, Tom spent countless days hunting with loved ones and treasured moments fishing in the Florida Keys. He didn’t need much – just the people he cared about and the chance to be with them. His life was rich with laughter, loyalty, and lasting memories, and he will be remembered as a man who gave generously of himself and made those around him feel truly seen.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 40 years (together for 47), Kimberly (Coyer) Scaccia, son Anthony (Krisi) Scaccia of Granby, and daughter Jourdan Scaccia of Oswego. Also surviving are his brother, Ronnie (Carol) Scaccia of Oswego; sister, Kelly McTague of Oswego; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and George Coyer; sisters-in-law, Kathy (Brian) Ranous and Lee Ottman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Kevin McTague.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, from 2-6 pm at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany Street.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at the funeral home, followed by entombment in St. Peter Cemetery, Mausoleum.
