Amy B. Ricchi, 93

OSWEGO, NY – Amy B. Ricchi, 93, a resident of Lacona and formerly of Oswego, passed away Monday October 14, 2013, at the home of her niece, Martha, in Lacona.

Mrs. Ricchi was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Thomas Ward and Ella Kenyon Battles.

She was the widow of Frank Ricchi, who died in 2002.

She was also predeceased by her brother, Willard Battles, who died in 2001.

Mrs. Ricchi had been employed for many years as a history teacher in the Mexico High School and later became a guidance counselor. She had also worked at Oswego Hospital.

She was a graduate of Coe College in Illinois and received her Master’s Degree from Syracuse University.

Mrs. Ricchi enjoyed traveling, gardening and family history.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews and Canadian cousins.

Graveside services will be held on October 26 at 3 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.
