Ann Mournighan Butler

OSWEGO, NY – Ann Mournighan Butler, 78, a resident of County Route 1 in the town of Scriba, passed away Thursday Oct. 4, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.

Mrs. Butler was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late John and Angelina (Boniato) DeStevens.

She was a life resident.

Prior to retirement, she was employed as a clerk at Fay’s Drug Store in Oswego.

Mrs. Butler was a member of the Red Hat Society and a member of the Scriba Senior Citizens Club.

She was a former communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Oswego.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra (Thomas) Maleski of Scriba; two sons, John Paul Mournighan of Mexico and Michael (Renee) Mournighan of Scriba; a brother, Louis DeStevens of Oswego; a sister, Katie MacLean of Oswego; five grandchildren, Erin, Adam, Michael, Elizabeth and Tommy; a great-grandson, T.J.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, John Mournighan, who died in 1985; and her second husband, Willard Butler, who died in 1999.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
