Charles D. Carey, 72

PHOENIX, NY – Charles  D. Carey, 72, of Fulton, NY, passed away on Monday October 27, 2014.

He was born in Phoenix to his late parents, Myrtle (Mason) and Henry Carey on May 14, 1942.

He served in the US Army.

He was a laborer for Henderson Dairy, West Phoenix.

Charles was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Bernard “Bum” Carey, in 2013; and his sister, Marjorie Corey, in 1990.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon A. (Trapp) Carey of Phoenix; three daughters, Diane M. Phillips of Hannibal, Kathyrn LaRose of Woodstock Valley, Conn., and Irene Scalinskis of Scriba; one
son, Christopher E. Carey of Fulton;  two sisters, Patricia Carey of Oswego and Mary Jean Lawler of Pennellville; three brothers, Christopher Carey of Huntington Beach, Calif., Eugene Carey of Clay and Clarence “BFoot” Carey of Mount Washington, Kentucky; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. with a 6 p.m. funeral service all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, NY  13135. missing or outdated ad config
