Clyde J. Bettis, 81

PHOENIX, NY – Clyde J. Bettis, 81, of Phoenix, NY, passed away on Thursday June 12, 2014, at home.

He was born in the town of Hannibal on Oct. 26, 1932, to his late parents, Lela (Weldon) and Ashley J. Bettis.

Clyde was a dairy farmer for 16 years, eventually working for the town of Lysander Highway Department for 30 years.
He was a member of the River of Life Assembly of God, Fulton; belonged to a horse riding club; the
Dairyman’s League; and the Lysander Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his loving wife of 49 years, Mary Lou (Richardson) Bettis; his foster children,
David and his wife, Pam Ragonese, of Phoenix, Ariz. and Lisa (Ragonese) Aulds of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a brother, Robert W. and his wife, Orlene, Bettis of Phoenix, NY; a sister, Margaret A. and her  husband, Frank, Santulli of Phoenix, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family, with Pastor Elden K. Lathrop officiating.
