OSWEGO, NY – Dean M. Cahill, 77, of Oswego, passed away Friday April 3, 2015, in Upstate Medical University Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Jennings and Jane McCaffery Cahill.
He had been employed for many years with the Oswego Housing Authority at Hamilton Homes in Oswego.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Roberta “Ann” Cahill; one daughter, Denise (Jay) Burke of Oswego; one son, Mickey (Shannon) Cahill of New Haven; one brother, Tim (Pat) Cahill of Oswego; one sister, Susan Haynes of Pulaski; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cahill was predeceased by one son, Shawn Cahill; three sisters, Ellen VanHorn, Nancy Bugow and Judy Leone; three brothers, William Cahill, Martian “Gus” Cahill and Robert Cahill.
At Mr. Cahill’s request, funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Cahill’s memory to the Upstate Medical University Hospital Intensive Care Unit 6E 750 Adams St., Syracuse, NY 13210.
