OSWEGO, NY – Donald E. Maguire, 73, a resident of 16 Arabel St., Oswego, passed away Saturday morning Aug. 28, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Port Angeles, Wash., and was the son of the late Clarence and Hazel Avery Maguire.
Mr. Maguire was the husband of Rita (Gai) Maguire.
He had been employed by Algonquin Power Co. and had previously been employed with the Stone and Webster Co. during the construction of Nine Mile Point Unit 2 Nuclear Plant.
He had been a resident of Oswego for 27 years.
Mr. Maguire served in the US Navy for 17 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Deborah (William) Law and Kelly Maguire both of Oswego; one son, Daniel P. Maguire of St. Augustine, Fla.; one sister, Jeannie Hause of Palm Bay, Fla.; four grandchildren, Kelly Tobias, Lena Haynes, Sidney Law and Shannon Law; one great-grandchild, Natalya Cappozi; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are private at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.
