OSWEGO, NY – Dorothea Donahue, 77, a resident of Henderson Harbor, passed away Friday August 2, 2013, unexpectedly at Upstate Hospital in Syracuse.
Born in Bindlach, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Marie Tiedemann.
She enjoyed gardening, baking, and cooking and especially loved spending time with her family.
She enjoyed spending her summers in Henderson Harbor and her winters in Summerfield, Florida.
Surviving are her companion of 20 wonderful years, John Dudley; son, Charles (Jennifer) Donahue of Liverpool; daughter, Deborah (Jay) Leo of Kirkville; four grandchildren, Emily and Colleen Donahue, and Elisabeth and Alexander Leo; the Dudley family, Debbie and Bernie, Brian and Ann Marie, Mark and Debbie, Todd and Crystal, John and Sarah, and all of the Dudley grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her family in Germany.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Richard P. Donahue.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego, with a service to follow.
