OSWEGO, NY – Elizabeth K. Mears, 84, a resident of the Town of Oswego, passed away Monday October 8, 2012, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Harry T. King Sr. and Anne (Kimball) King.
She was a graduate of Oswego State University.
She worked as a teacher for Kingsford Park School for 20 years.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, Ernest F. Mears Sr.; two daughters, Joanne (Thomas) Hilton of Palermo and Martha (Mark) LaMay of Watertown; two sons, Dr. Ernest (Patricia) Mears and Paul (Catherine) Mears, both of the Town of Oswego; 10 beloved grandchildren, Douglas Hilton, Michael Hilton, Andrew Hilton, Ashley Mears, Morgan Mears, Jonathon Mears, Ellen Mears, Emily Mears, Megan LaMay and Katie LaMay; four great-grandchildren, Jake Hilton, Nathan Hilton, Paige Hilton and Lauren Hilton.
She was predeceased by her brothers, Judge Adrian K. King and Harry T. King Jr.
Funeral services will be held privately.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
