PHOENIX, NY – Emma Ruth Mills, 85, of Phoenix, passed away on Thursday July 10, 2014.
She was born to her late parents Nora (MacDougall) and Clifford Holmes on April 30, 1929.
She was a homemaker.
Emma was a member of the Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church.
She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Edward A. Mills Sr., on Feb. 18, 1999.
Surviving are her four sons, Edward A. Mills Jr., Roger Mills, Clifford Mills and Lance Mills; six daughters, Connie Mills Soppe, Adell Kenyon, Shelli Wilcox, Terri Mills Laurrie Porter and Beckie Hawley; several grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Judy and Sally; brothers, Jerry and Harry, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m., all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix, with the Rev. Shawn Porter officiating.
Burial will be on Friday at 11 a.m. in Phoenix Rural Cemetery, 126 Chestnut St., Phoenix.
