Ernest E. Bullard, 78, a resident of Co Rt. 8, Minetto, passed away, Wednesday, July 14th, 2010 at the Oswego Hospital.
Born in Minetto, he was the son of the late Fred and Thresa (Burdick) Bullard.
Ernest was enlisted with the National Guard, Company M.
He worked at Sealright for over 45 years, retiring in 1997 as a Maintenance Supervisor.
Mr. Bullard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a New York Yankees fan.
He was a member of the Oswego Elks Lodge 271 for many years.
He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-great nieces and nephews.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years, Norrita (Taylor) Bullard of Minetto; one daughter, Karen (Adam Shaffer III) Bullard of Minetto; two sons, Jeff Bullard of Philadelphia, PA and Kevin (Beth) Bullard of Rhode Island; three brothers, Fred (Phyllis) Bullard of Minetto, Williard Bullard of Florida and Robert (Margaret) Bullard of Florida; four sisters, Betty (Joe) Chillemi of Oswego, Nellie Thompson of Washington, Joan Piazza of Rochester and Nancy Barber of Homer; a close nephew, Martin “Buddy†Bullard Jr. of Minetto; five grandchildren, Brian, Calah, Stacy, Emily and Jacob Bullard; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday at the Nelson Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be 11 a.m to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
