Frances A. Broadwell, 60

OSWEGO, NY – Frances A. Broadwell, 60, entered into eternal life on Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at her home.

She was born April 2, 1950, in Oswego, NY.

Franny lived her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

She loved camping with family, was a wonderful cook and loved sharing it with others.

Franny met Beryl, her loving husband of 41 years, raised two children and lived her life to the fullest by spending time with her three grandchildren and her faithful dog and companion, Lucky.

She worked for the Oswego City School District in the food service department starting in 1980 and then became a head cook in 1982 until her retirement three years ago in 2007.

Surviving are her husband Beryl; two children, Chrissy (Art) McManus and Rodney (Nicole) Broadwell; three grandchildren, Jenna and Mackenzee McManus and Rylee Broadwell.

She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers: Lauretta (Tim) Allen, John (Sharon) Burger, Mary Catherine (Earl) Swartz, Richard (Julie) Burger, Tina (Stephen) Flack.

She was predeceased by her parents, James A. and Laura J. Burger; and a brother, James G. “Cricket” Burger.

She left a lasting impression on all who knew her because of her true generosity and will be greatly missed by her dear friends and family.

A Catholic Memorial Mass to celebrate her wonderful life will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
