OSWEGO, NY – Grace E. Muldoon, 94, and a longtime resident of 37 Bronson St., Oswego, passed away Saturday morning December 20, 2014, at St. Luke Health Services, Inc.
She was born in New York City and was the daughter of the late Casper B. and Felicity Schiff Riddle.
Mrs. Muldoon was the widow of the Thomas J. Muldoon, who died on April 25, 2009.
Thomas and Grace were married for 67 years.
Grace moved to Oswego in 1945 after her husband came home from World War II.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.
For many years, Grace worked in St. Mary’s cafeteria with school lunches.
Grace enjoyed spending more than 30 winters in Boca Raton, Fla., with her husband prior to his passing.
Grace is survived by one daughter, Melanie Griffin of Roswell, Ga.; six sons, William (Mary) Muldoon of Brewerton, Robert Muldoon of Jacksonville, Fla., Richard (Mary) Muldoon of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Timothy (Tina) Muldoon of Fort Pierce, Fla., David Muldoon of Oswego and John (Martina) Muldoon of the Czech Republic; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by a brother, Nelson Riddle, in 1968; a son-in-law, James “Terry” Griffin, in 1987; and grandson, Michael Muldoon, in 2006.
Grace loved being with her family and friends, avid at crossword puzzles and board games, and loved her daily rides around Oswego and watching sunsets.
Calling hours will be held Sunday December 28 from 3-6 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. December 29 from the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
