OSWEGO, NY – Grace Moffett Heath, age 93, passed away on Tuesday May 1, 2012, in Oswego, NY.
She was born 12/9/1918 in Woodbridge, NJ, the daughter of the late Ernest and Sarah (Voorhees) Moffett.
She was a graduate of Woodbridge High School and a 1941 graduate of Syracuse University.
She was a member of DAR, Eastern Star, Daughters of the Nile, AAUW, and a 50+ year member of Delta Gamma Sorority at Syracuse University.
Grace married L. Robert Heath on 12/28/1941, and they lived in Syracuse, Watertown, Rome, Utica and Whitesboro, NY.
She moved to Oswego in 1999.
She loved her family, and enjoyed needlework, enameling, golfing and traveling with her husband.
She was a former member of the Methodist Church of New Hartford, NY, and currently Minetto Methodist in Minetto, NY.
She was predeceased by her husband, L. Robert Heath, in 1998.
She is survived by her son, R. Alan (Jeanette Berry) Heath; three grandchildren: A. Erik Heath of Oswego, Stephen R. (Pamela Cobb) Heath of Bronx, NY, and Todd R. (Rachel Parkhurst) Heath of Van Horn, Texas; and two great-grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
Services will be at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Cemetery in Clinton, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Minetto Methodist Church, Minetto Volunteer Fire Department or a charity of your choice in Grace’s memory.
