Harry Thomas Cook, 78

OSWEGO, NY – Harry Thomas Cook, 78, a resident of Ellen Street, Oswego, passed away Friday March 13, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret (Cockell) Cook.

He was a retired steamfitter for the Local 777 of Connecticut.

He was a member of the National Guard for 27 years.

He was a member of the Oswego Elks #271, where he served as Exalted Ruler for two terms in 1979 and 1983.

Tom was an avid golfer and sports fan.

Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Mary (Fadden) Cook; two daughters, Barbara Metzger, of Chesapeake, Va., and Ann Marie Cook, of Kansas City, Mo.; two sons, Harry Cook (Renee Walters), of Venice, Calif., and Michael (Connie) Cook of Oswego; a brother, Robert Cook of Oswego; two sisters, Shirley Haynes and Jean Lester, both of Oswego; five grandchildren, Nicholas Cook, Michael Cook, Emily Cook, Deena Metzger and Derek Metzger; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel Cook, Jacob Cook, Tristen Conklin and Haydin Metzger.

He was predeceased by a brother, William Cook.

Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St., Oswego.

Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
