OSWEGO, NY – Henry “Hank” N. Richards, 84, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday October 19, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Nelson and Stella (Fetterley) Richards.
Hank served in the US Naval Reserves.
He was a pipefitter for the Local 73 for more than 40 years.
He was a 40-year member of the Fulton Moose # 1280 and a life member of the Oswego Elks #271.
Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Ellen (Spaulding) Richards; three sons, Donald (Connie Barker) Richards of Oswego, Ronald (Susan) Richards of Oswego and Douglas Richards of Oswego; a brother, John (Marie) Richards, of Florida; three grandchildren, Jameson Richards, Deborah (Leonard) Tilton and T.J. Doody Richards; two great-grandchildren, Jack and Nathan Tilton; godchild, Diane Longley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Deborah Jean Richards (1953); a brother, Frederick Richards; and a sister, Ruth Last.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery, Old Route 57, Bundyville, NY.
