James H. Chrystal, III, 74, a resident of 20 Mitchell Street in Oswego, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Upstate Medical Hospital in Syracuse.
Jim was born in Oswego, and was a life resident. He was the son of the late William and Theresa (Bonney) Chrystal.
He was a graduate of Oswego High School.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed, for over 40 years, with the General Electric Co, and the Lockheed Martin Co., in Liverpool.
He was a member of the IUE, Local #320.
Jim looked forward to having coffee each day with his friends in Oswego, and he loved spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed being a part of the lives of his grandchildren, and attending their athletic events.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Church.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Frances (Cortese) Chrystal of Oswego; his daughter, Cathleen (Daniel) Maniccia of Oswego; his son, James J. (Ganine) Chrystal of Baltimore, MD; his four grandchildren; Daniel Maniccia, Meghan Maniccia, Devlin Chrystal, and Max Chrystal.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be held from noon to 2:00pm Saturday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego.
