OSWEGO, NY – James W. Stark, 71, a resident of City Line Road, Oswego, passed away Sunday August 26, 2012, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late John and Bernadine (McHuge) Stark.
He served in the Army National Guard.
Jim worked as a meat cutter for many years and also as a Pipefitter for the Local # 73 for more than 30 years on various jobs throughout Oswego County.
He enjoyed his winters in Florida, refinishing antiques and watching old movies and TV.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (Thrall) Stark; a daughter, Christine O’Connor of Oswego; a son, Scott (Chris) Stark of Zeeland, Michigan; four grandchildren, Shandon O’Connor, Sean O’Connor, Emily Stark and Haley Stark; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his two brothers, John and Richard Stark.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, at St. Paul’s Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
