Johanna L. Flemma, 91

OSWEGO, NY – Johanna L. Flemma, 91, of Oswego passed away peacefully Monday morning April 16, 2012, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Flemma was born in Utica and was the daughter of the late Victor and Elizabeth Autore.

Her husband of 50 years, John S. Flemma, predeceased her in 1996.

Mrs. Flemma lived for 70 years in Utica where she raised her family, enjoyed many close friendships and spent time playing golf and bridge.

She moved to New Hartford in 1990 before moving to Oswego to be near her daughter.

Mrs. Flemma is survived by her daughter, Deborah (Michael) Stanley of Oswego; two sons, John Flemma of Chicopee, Mass. and Steven (Cecilia) Flemma of Houston, Texas; one sister, Elizabeth Longo of Alexandria, Va.; six grandchildren, Jennifer Hill of Syracuse, Joseph Bollettieri of Minneapolis Minn., Jason Flemma of Utica, Paige Stanley and Jacquelyn Stanley, both of Washington D.C. and Lindsey Flemma of Amherst Mass.; five great-grandchildren, Blaise Hill, Alexandra Hill, Jason Flemma, Lucio Bollettieri and Dominic Bollettieri; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church 2 Barton Ave., Utica, NY.

Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the funeral mass.

Private calling hours for family and close friends will be Friday 5-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.

A donation in Johanna’s name may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital or any charity of your choice.
