John F. ‘Jack’ Marsh, 74

MEXICO, NY – John F. “Jack” Marsh, 74, and a resident of State Route 104 in the town of Mexico, passed away Monday morning August 18, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born in Detroit and was the son of the late Covault and Frances McDonough Marsh.

Mr. Marsh was the husband of Kathleen M. McGrath Marsh.

Mr. Marsh and his wife owned and operated the Golden Fish Restaurant in Port Ontario for more than 27 years.

He was a communicant of St. Anne’s Mother of Mary Church in Mexico.

He enjoyed golfing at the Elm’s Golf Course.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter Nancy L. (John Skilinski) Marsh of Pulaski;  one son, Steven J. Marsh of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Jerome (Sharon) Marsh of Livonia Mich.; one sister, Judy (Rich) Blodgett of Southwest Oswego; two grandchildren, Jordan Marsh and Julia Marsh both of Pulaski.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, his twin, James Marsh and Joseph Marsh.

Funeral services will be Thursday at  10:30 a.m. at St. Anne’s Mother of Mary Catholic Church in Mexico.

Calling hours will be held Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.

Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery.
