Judy L. Dence

OSWEGO, NY – Judy L. Dence, 67, a resident of the Kocher Road in the town of Scriba, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday December 13, 2012, following a long illness.

She was surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Harrell and Thelma (Laird)
Johnson.

She had lived in the Oswego area for most of her life.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook with the Oswego City School
District.

Judy was a member of the United Baptist Church of Scriba and the church Women’s
Guild.

She is survived by her husband, George Dence Sr. of Scriba; two daughters,
Kimberly (John) Roy of Bradford, Mass., and Melanie (Steve) Broughton of Matthews,
NC; a step-son, George Dence Jr. of Liverpool; three grandchildren, Jacob Broughton,
Devyn Roy and Angela Dence Stump; two great-grandchildren, Callie and Dakota; two
sisters, Patricia (Carl) Malone, and Pamela (Edgar) Beshures; and many nieces and
nephews.

Private memorial services will be held in the spring.

There will be no calling hours.
