OSWEGO, NY – Kathleen D. Syrell, 47, and a resident of Clay, passed away Tuesday morning October 21, 2014, at her home.
Kathleen was born in Syracuse and was the daughter of Shirley Allen Thomas and the late Paul Thomas.
Mrs. Syrell, with her husband, owned and operated Rusty Syrell’s Hardwood Floors.
She was a former foster care mother.
She and her husband, Rusty, then became adopting parents.
In addition to her husband, Rusty Syrell; she is survived by two daughters, Tanya Syrell and Chanel Syrell; and one son, Liam Syrell, all living at home; her mother, Shirley Allen Smith and stepfather, Mitchell Smith of Phoenix; one brother, Robert Thomas, of Panther Lake; two sisters, Jeana (Kirk) Harvey of West Virginia and Kimberly (Shawn) Bailey of Phoenix; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be conducted Thursday 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
