Lorraine Frances Pokalsky, 79

PHOENIX, NY – Lorraine Frances Pokalsky, 79, of Phoenix, passed away on Monday April 1, 2013, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

She was born on May 11, 1933, in Eynon, Pa., to her late parents, Anna (Wojciechowski)
and Thomas Chervinak.

She was a homemaker and worked for Fleming Realtor for 10 years.

She was a faithful parishioner at St. Stephen’s Church, Phoenix, and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society.

Lorraine was a member of the Book Club at Phoenix Public Library.

Lorraine was predeceased by her husband, Eugene J. Pokalsky Sr., in 1997; a son, Karl Pokalsky, in 1989.

Surviving are her daughter, Nanette Pokalsky (Robert Painting) of Holley, NY; her two sons, Kenneth (Wendy) Pokalsky and Eugene J. Pokalsky Jr. all of Saratoga Springs, NY; her brother, Gerald Chervinak of Dickson City, Pa.; five grandchildren, Thomas Pokalsky, Maggie Pokalsky and Carrie Pokalsky, Christopher Painting and Justin Painting; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, Phoenix, followed by a funeral mass at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen’s Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix.

Burial will later in the spring in Phoenix Rural Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home, 431 Main St.
