OSWEGO, NY – Louise M. Cloonan, 83, a resident of Oswego, passed away Saturday May 9, 2015, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late George and Violet (Lawler) Becksted, and widow of Robert J. Cloonan.
Louise worked as a manager for the SUNY Oswego Auxiliary Service for more than 20 years.
She loved animals, especially her beloved dog, Billie Jean.
She enjoyed line dancing, bunko, and working in the garden and was a member of the Columbiettes of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving are her sister, Elise Becksted; nieces, Valerie Favata, Jolene Buske and Bridget Murray; great-niece, Amy Schultzkie; great-great-nephews, Dylon and Tanner Schultzkie; and several cousins.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, George, Harold, Karl and Fred Becksted.
Services will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, at St. Peter’s Church.
Entombment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, All-Saints’ Mausoleum.
Calling hours will be held from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
