OSWEGO, NY – Lulu May Preston, a longtime resident of Scriba, passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2016, in Merritt Island, Florida.
She was born October 25, 1913, in Barberton, Ohio, and was the daughter of the late Amos and Ada Flickinger Wilson.
Mrs. Preston was the wife of the late Lyle Preston.
She had been employed for many years at the Breneman Hartshorn Factory in Oswego.
While in Oswego she was an active member of the Scriba Corners Baptist Church and North Scriba Baptist Church.
Although Mrs. Preston never had children, she treated the children in the neighborhood and church like they were her own.
She is survived by one sister, Doris Stevens of Oswego; one brother, Warren Wilson of Virginia Beach; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews and her caregiver in Florida.
Services will be 11 a.m. June 25 at the Scriba Baptist Church, where a reception will be held following burial services in North Scriba Cemetery.
