Marion S. Anguish, 97

PHOENIX, NY – Marion S. Anguish, 97, former resident of the Towers Apartments, Fulton, passed away Tuesday April 30, 2013, at Oswego Hospital after a brief stay at Morningside Residential Care Center.

She was born in Pompey Hollow, NY, on February 10, 1916, to her late parents, Margaret (Cathers) and Ernest Balch.

She was a member of the Lysander United Methodist Church until its closing.

Marion was employed by General Electric Co., Syracuse, retiring in 1978 after 26 1/2 years of service.

She was a member of the I. U. E. Local 320 and was an avid gardener.

Marion was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Robert P. Anguish.

Surviving are her three sons, Robert (Carol) Anguish of Baldwinsville, Kenneth (Reta) Anguish of Fulton and Richard (Edna) Anguish of Cape Vincent; one daughter, Arbutus “Arby” (David) Shurtleff of Cato; one brother, Donald Balch of Nelson; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside services only, are on Saturday May 18, at 11 a.m. in Lysander Union Cemetery, Lamson Road at the corner of Avery Road, Lysander, with the Rev. Martha Robinson officiating.
