OSWEGO, NY – Marjorie G. Davis, 92, a resident of Oswego, passed away Thursday July 2, 2015, at Seneca Hill Manor.
Born in Homer, NY, she was the daughter of the late A. Merton and Myrtle (Callen) Phillips.
She worked numerous jobs including a support investigator for Oswego County, Nestles and drove bus for Golden Sun.
She and her husband built and remodeled homes.
She was a member of the Scriba Senior Citizens and enjoyed her long-time bunco club.
She was an avid artist as well as a talented crafter.
She is survived by two daughters, Sharon (Dennis) Santoro of Fulton and Deborah (Kim) Simmonds of Oswego; her beloved granddaughter, Eve Simmonds; four brothers, Robert Phillips, Donald Phillips, Theodore Phillips and Lawrence Phillips; two sisters, Thelma March and Betty Murphy; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Donald Lyons (1960) and Gerald Davis (2006); siblings, Howard Phillips, Herbert Phillips, Lillian Davidson, Frances Borek, Louise Hunn, Mildred Eldridge and Elizabeth Babcock.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Minetto Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 11 a.m. -1 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
