OSWEGO, NY – Mark J. Sagneri, 54, of Oswego, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday June 30, 2015, at home.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Barbara Neild Sagneri Fitzgerald and the late Phillip Sagneri.
He was an US Navy veteran having served on the USS Inchon.
He worked as a sales clerk for Burke’s Home Center for many years.
He enjoyed hunting, birdwatching, photography and his motorcycle and tattoos.
He loved travel and visits to the sea.
He was a member of the Freedom’s Elite Club.
He was proud of his military service and was a member of the USS Inchon Association.
He coached junior league and senior league baseball in Oswego and he coached Pop Warner football with his son, Mark Barker.
He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 35 years, Donna (Fontana) Sagneri.
Surviving are his four children, Stephany Sagneri-Harrington, Kristy Sagneri, Mark James Barker and Mark Anthony Sagneri all of Oswego; two sisters, Crystal Burke of Phoenix and Brenda Mekeel of Oswego; seven grandchildren, Mark Barker Jr., Nathan Barker, Audrey Harrington, Jacob Harrington, Cassie Barker, Brianna Harrington and Madison Jones; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
