OSWEGO, NY – Mary E. Pryse, 71, of Oswego, passed away Friday March 11, 2016, at the Manor at Seneca Hill.
She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Wallace and Frances Pinneo Laird.
She had been employed for many years as a teacher, first at the junior high school in Chittenango and later as a kindergarten teacher with the Mexico School District when she retired in 1981.
She held a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oswego State.
Mrs. Pryse was a member of the New York State United Teachers.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church and Sacred Heart Church in Scriba.
Mrs. Pryse is survived by her sister, Chrystal (Paul) Cardinali of Fulton; one niece and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by a brother, William Laird.
A memorial mass will be held at a date and time to be announced.
