Nancy Adragna, 97

OSWEGO, NY – Nancy Adragna, 97, a resident of North Syracuse, passed away Wednesday December 19, 2012, at her home.

Mrs. Adragna was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Theodore and Helen (Matott) Whitlock.

She was a graduate of SUNY Oswego, where she received her Master’s Degree in Education.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Syracuse School District for many years, retiring from the Franklin School.

She was a communicant of St. Margaret’s Catholic Church in Mattydale and was very active in church activities.

Mrs. Adragna was a volunteer with The American Red Cross, and she loved to travel.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Robert McKinstry; her second husband, Robert Nett; and her third husband, Joseph Adragna.

She is survived by two sons, Robert “Mac” (Peg) McKinstry of Oswego and Richard (Lynn) McKinstry of North Syracuse; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several step-children and step –grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Oswego at a time to be announced.

Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Oswego.

There will be no calling hours.
