OSWEGO, NY – Patricia I. Pritchard, 86, a resident of the town of Oswego, passed away Monday July 13, 2015, at Upstate Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Irene (Demass) McConnell.
Patricia retired as a teacher from Hannibal Central School.
She was an active member of the Journey of Faith Church United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing in the choir.
She was a member of the NYS Teacher Association and the Oswego Town Historical Society.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her children: Valerie Downing, Marla (Matthew) Berlin, Gregg (Bridget) Prichard, Tricia (Shawn) Caroccio, Kevin Pritchard, Deborah Sharkey, Roger (Mary Anne) Pritchard all of Oswego, Alan (Grace) Pritchard of Myrtle Beach, Richard (Lori) Pritchard, Darrell (Joyce) Pritchard both of Oswego and Penny (Dick) Bateman of Myrtle Beach; her loving 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elaine Hammer and LaVerne Loughlin both of Oswego; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Donald Pritchard (2011); and her daughter, Maureen I. Downing.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Journey of Faith United Methodist, 7721 State Route 104 West, Oswego.
Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
