Robert Allen Schreiner, 61

PHOENIX, NY – Robert Allen  Schreiner, 61, of the town of Palermo, Fulton, passed away on Wednesday March 11, 2015, after a long illness.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Mildred A. (Schroeder) and Edward  P. Schreiner; his beloved dogs, Max and Gizmo.

Bob loved his Syracuse Orange sports, the Buffalo Bills football team and he enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his siblings Phil (Marie), Ruth (Butch), Pearl, Mary (Emory) Ford and Nancy Schreiner; as well as three generations of nieces and nephews; also survived by his work family, including Eric Francisco, whom he thought of as a son; and a longtime neighbor, Frank Gravlin.

Robert worked for Crucible Industries, Solvay, NY, for 41 years as a maintenance technician and he was a mentor to many employees.

Calling hours will be on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m., with a funeral service to following the visitation, all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., Phoenix.

Pastor Stan Bennett from the First Congregational, United Church of Christ, will officiate.
