PHOENIX, NY – Robert Shafer Jr., 57, former Phoenix resident, died at home in Osceola, NY, on Thursday July 11, 2013.
He was born in Syracuse, NY, to his late parents, Dorothy Ann (Sanford) Parry and Robert Shafer Sr., on April 8, 1956.
He attended Phoenix Central Schools and furthered his education.
Bob became a well driller for Cato Well Drilling Co., Weedsport.
Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, Larry J. Clark.
Surviving are his six children, Jalene Shafer, Robert Shafer III, Gretchen Shafer, Eric Shafer, Seth Shafer and Nick Shafer; one grand daughter, Hana; three sisters, Edie Harrington, Terry Bick and Diane Soutar; aunts; nieces,
nephews, and cousins.
