Ronald K. Guile, 81

OSWEGO, NY – Ronald K. Guile, 81, of Oswego, died Sunday March 27, 2016, at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late William and Marion (Bateman) Guile.

Ronald was a Navy medic veteran serving from 1951-1954 during the Korean Conflict.

He was a retired police chief at SUNY Oswego.

Ronald was a life member of the Elks and belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Police.

He spent the last 25 years vacationing in Florida.

He enjoyed traveling, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with his family and kids athletics.

He loved his pet cat, Zoe.

Ronald is survived by his wife of 59 years, Teresa Biddlecom Guile; his daughters, Roni Taylor of Oswego, Mimi (Jim) Deming of Oswego and Lisa (Joe) Schultzkie of Oswego; his seven grandchildren, Justin and Nikki Taylor, Lauren, Lexi and Ashli Deming, Brandon Schultzkie and Nathan Schultzkie; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Elaine Salvador; and his son-in-law, Michael Taylor.

Calling hours will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul’s Church.

Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
