OSWEGO, NY – Rose Marie Butera, 91, a resident of Oswego, passed away on Saturday April 9, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Ignazio and Josephine (DeStefano) Butera.
She worked for many businesses including Taggert’s, Marathon, Topps and the art Industries in Baldwinsville retiring in the 1970s.
She was an avid bingo player and walker.
Rose was a member of the Southwest Oswego Senior Citizens group.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, Joseph and August Butera; and a sister, Joan Talamo.
Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Joseph Butera, Sharon Elijah, Deborah Thomas, Michael Butera, Carol Smith, Robert Butera and Pamela, Joseph and Anthony Talamo.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph’s Church.
Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
