PHOENIX, NY – Shari Lynn Calkins, 52, of Phoenix, passed away on Thursday October 16, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center, Syracuse.
She was born in San Jose, Calif., on July 17, 1962, to her late parents, Patricia Ann (Garey) and Patsy Kuntz McElfresh.
Shari had been a bus driver for Phoenix Central Schools and for Oswego County Opportunities for many years.
She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Glenn R. Calkins; her son, Michael Alan Calkins; her two brothers, Doug McElfresh and Scott McElfresh; one sister, Kelly Dowell; her sister-in-law, Patsy Krech; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her friends at both the P. C. S. and O. C. O. transportation departments.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. with a 4 p.m. funeral service all in the Allanson-Glanville-Tappan Funeral Home, 431 Main St., (County Route 57), Phoenix.
