OSWEGO, NY – Shirley L. Stevens, 70, of Oswego, died Wednesday July 3, 2013, in Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Stevens was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late James and Mildred Pullen Piazza.
She was the wife of Calvin O. Stevens, 1st.
She had been employed as a cook for many years at the Meadowbrook Nursing Home in Hannibal and was previously employed at the Ladies Home in Oswego.
She was a life resident of the Oswego area.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Marcia (James) (Stevens) Kray of Oswego and Elizabeth (Stevens) Wadleigh of Oswego; two sons, William Daniel Stevens of Oswego and Nathan Stevens of Syracuse; three brothers, James Piazza, Dominic Piazza and Richard Piazza all of Oswego; one sister, Annette (Chris) Fragle of Oswego; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two children, Calvin Stevens II and Angela Stevens; and three brothers, David Piazza, Paul Piazza and Matthew Piazza.
Calling hours will be 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
