Sonja Ann (Robinson) Bradshaw, 76

PHOENIX, NY – Sonja Ann “Nee” (Robinson) Bradshaw, 76, of Alexandria Bay, NY, passed away on Monday October 20, 2014, in her home, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer.

Her parents, Joseph and Marcella (Graves) Robinson, predeceased her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, George L. Bradshaw; two loving children, George M. Bradshaw of Hannibal and Deborah Gymarthy of Fort Myers, Fla.; three siblings, Sandra Camardell of North Syracuse, Joseph Robinson of Syracuse and Melanie Checksfield of Collingswood, NJ; many devoted brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sonja was born in Florence, NY, on January 10, 1938.

She attended St. John the Baptist School, Syracuse.

She was employed by General Motors Corp., Syracuse.

Sonja and George operated a motel business in Alexandria Bay and it was their summer residence.

Winters, they traveled to their home in Daytona Beach, Fla.

Sonja was a devoted, generous, loving relative and friend to all who met her.

She loved traveling with her husband and beloved dog, Boomer.

A memorial service will be held at RFH Hide-a-Way restaurant, 1058 County Route 57, Phoenix, on October 25 at noon, with the Rev. D. Yost, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clay.

A memorial luncheon will follow Sonja’s service.
