Theodore P. Siembor, 94

OSWEGO, NY – Theodore P. Siembor, 94, a resident of Ellen St. Oswego, passed away Monday August 12, 2013, at St. Luke Health Services.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late John and Sophie (Kon) Siembor.

Theodore was a World War II Army veteran who served in the Pacific Theater with the HQ Company of the Eighth Army, with tours of service in New Guinea, The Philippines, and Japan.

He graduated from Oswego High School, attended Syracuse University, and was a lifetime resident of Oswego.

After his Army service of four and a half years, he worked for St. Regis, Marathon, and Hammermill Paper companies for a total of 35 years, in accounting, production scheduling, and traffic.

He coached the St. Stephen’s Church CYO basketball team and was an avid golfer and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are his wife, Rose (Kush) Siembor; two daughters, Stephanie (Eugene) Simmons of Virginia and Roselle (Gary) Abyad of South Carolina; son, Barry (Julie) Siembor of Washington; sister, Mary (Raymond) Polczak of Oswego; four grandchildren, Wendy (Yassine) Boualem, Jennifer Siembor, Diana Siembor and Melanie Miller; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph, Mitchell, Eugene, Stanley and John; sisters, Victoria Lavery, Helen Brennan and Veronica Siembor.

Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Stephen’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2-4 p.m. Friday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.
