OSWEGO, NY – Wayne G. Stevens, 88, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away Sunday May 26, 2013, at Crouse Irving Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Stevens was born in Massena, NY, and was the son of the late George and Eva Brown Stevens.
He was the husband of Marilyn Bessette Stevens.
Wayne served in the US Navy during World War II and returned to his job at New York Central Railroad.
He was then employed for 37 years with Niagara Mohawk.
Following his retirement from Niagara Mohawk he and his wife retired to Myrtle Beach from Malone, NY.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Jacqueline (Steven) Rusho of Loveland, Colorado, James (Tammy) Stevens of Oswego, Mark (Mary Jo) Stevens of Warners and John (Mary) Stevens of Oswego. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and his beloved dog, Scarlet.
Calling hours will be Friday 4-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
