Agnes Irene Barnard, 90

OSWEGO, NY – On Wednesday April 13, 2016, Agnes Irene Barnard passed away peacefully with family members around her.

She was 90 years old.

She was the beloved wife of John D. Barnard, who preceded her in death, and devoted mother of Suzanne Barnard, John Barnard, Kevin Barnard and Peter Barnard.

To her six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, “Noni” will be remembered as the strong, loving grandmother, whose Italian heritage was gently passed down through amazing spaghetti dinners and stories of her family’s deep traditions.

Irene, whose husband and friends called “Aggie,” lived much of her long life in Oswego.

She recently moved to Baltimore to be with her daughter, yet still maintained ties to her family and friends in upstate New York.

Irene will be buried next to her husband in the family plot in Claverack, NY.

A memorial service will be held in late July in Claverack.

Irene was much loved and until we meet again, we will make sure to remind her whenever we think about her … More!
