FULTON – March 16, 2025, Bernard L. “Bernie” Quinn, 90; of Fulton passed away Sunday, March 16th, 2025, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.
Mr. Quinn was born in Fulton, NY to the late William and Gertrude “Anna” (Dwyer) Quinn. He remained a lifetime resident of Fulton, NY. Mr. Quinn was a United Veteran having served in the Army during the Korean War from 1954 to 1956. He was a loyal employee for 53 years with the United States Postal Service. Bernie loved sports and was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox, the Boston Bruins, Syracuse University, Notre Dame and the Cleveland Browns. He was a past member of the Fulton Polish Home. Bernie also loved golfing and was an avid reader.
Mr. Quinn was pre-deceased by his wife Nancy Quinn in 2005 and his siblings and in-laws: Kay (Dick) Bush, Joseph (Carol) Quinn, John “Jack” (Pat) Quinn, William “Bill” Quinn, Vincent “Vinnie” Valelunga and David Reiter.
Mr. Quinn is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Eileen and Aaron Fritton of Oswego, his grandchildren: Kylie and Cole Fritton of Oswego, his sister: Peggy Coyne of Fulton and sisters-in-law: Patty (Danny) Hall of Fulton and Sharon Reiter of AZ and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling Hours will be held from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Saturday in the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Joseph Scardella at 11:00 AM Saturday at Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton. A Spring Burial with Military Honors will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
