Betty J. Paternoster

OSWEGO – Betty J. Paternoster, 60, of Scriba died Saturday September 14, 2024 in University Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.

Betty was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late Sherwin and Ellen (Egan) Clark. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Betty enjoyed relaxing around the firepit with family, going to dinner and socializing with her large circle of close friends. She also enjoyed traveling. Betty and her husband Bob began dating at age thirteen and later married, they have always remained inseparable.

Betty is survived by her husband Bob Paternoster of Scriba, their children Ryan Paternoster of Oswego, and Jana (John) Weiland of Pulaski. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, whom she loved spending time with, Skyler, Avery, Kalib, Brinley, and Holden. Betty is also survived by her siblings Jim (Shirley) Clark of FL; Jean (John) Paternoster of Oswego; Jeff (Sue) Clark of Oswego, Theresa (Ronald) Durgan of Hannibal, Peter (Shelley Caprin) Clark of Oswego; and Paul (Lauri) Clark of NC, and she was a loving aunt to her several nieces and nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her sister Julie Louis and brother and sister-in-law Roger and Patti Clark.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday 11:00 AM at Peck Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, 147 W. 4^th. St Oswego, NY.
